The 31st World Memory Championships Global Finals will be held in Suzhou, China from December 16 to 18, 2022. Due to the epidemic of COVID-19, athletes from different nations could not travel across nations, which means that we are unable to gather all atheletes to compete in the same country. Therefore, the Global Finals will be held in the same way just like it did last year. Competitors will compete in their respective countries and the final results will be summarized up by the Memory Sports Council of each country and submitted to Lester He, the global chief arbiter. The final result of the 2022 Global Finals will be announced by Raymond Keene OBE, the President of the World Memory Sports Council.

1.For countries or regions with a local WMSC council or appointed certified arbiters, can set up local sub venues to hold the global final of the 31st Memory of the World Championship after applying to Lester He. The application email should include: the country and region where the event is held, the number of competitiors, the person in charge of the relevant event, etc. and be sent to the email address: memory-sports@vip.163.com.

Competitors who have not registered or paid the fees will not have their results entered on the official statistics website, participate in the ranking, nor be awarded the World Memory Master of the year.

3.For countries or regions without a local Memory Sports Council or a certified arbiter, competitors can send an email to the global chief arbiter via memory-sports@vip.163.com, including competitor’s name, country or region, time zone, your competing experience and competing goals after completing the registration and payment. Lester He will then arrange an online arbitration, and competitors can compete via the official APP of the Memory of the World Sports Council.

  1. All participating countries and regions must abide by the competition rules of the World Memory Championships. Competitors are bound to accept a review or retest if arbiters of two countries think there is a necessity to review the result.
