On 29th October, the opening ceremony of “The 2021 Asian Memory Championships” was held in Hangzhou, China. The 2nd Asian Memory Championships was held between 29-31 October, 2021. About 200 mental athletes competed over 10 disciplines. Titles of “Asia Pacific Memory Master” were awarded to the top-ranking winners who met the official standards of Asia Pacific Memory Sports Council (APMSC)
Two world records have been broken in the competition. Xu Yangran broke the 15-minute world record for Abstract Images with 883 points, while Wei Qinru broke the 30-minute world record for Random Numbers with 2064 points.

The 2021 Asia Memory Championships is one of the highest level international memory competition in Asia Pacific region authorized by APMSC. All Athletes compete over the same 10 standard disciplines as the World Memory Championships, demonstrating the highest level of performance and athletes’ mental capabilities in Asia Pacific. In 2022, The 2021 Asia Memory Championships has been officially accepted as part of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, which is an important step for Mind Sports to go to the public.
