Congratulations to Riadh Bensaoucha for so successfully organising the 5th Arabian Memory Championships.

The 5th Arabian Memory Championship this year was with International standards for the first time, it was held on August 29th-30th, 2016 in Algiers, Algieria at the Higher School of Sport and its technologies, Organized by Dhaka Train for Training and coaching the representative of The Arabian Memory Championship Foundation in Algeria, the Championship was Managed by Dr. Riadh Bensaoucha and Mr Salah Eddine Djilah.

The Championship was supervised by the Chief Arbiter Phil Chambers and Managed by two Arbiters Level 2, Riadh Bensaoucha and Ahmad Lamine Challa. the Arbiters team was Composed from 45 Arbiters from 5 Arabic Countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya), and the Arbiters was Trained for the Arbitring job the day before the Championship by the 2 Arbiters Level 2.

The participants in the Championship were as follows:

  •  121 Competitors from 9 Arabic Countries (Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Mauritania, Iraq, Palestine).
  •  43 Kids, 37 Juniors, 41 Adults.
  •  68 Males, 53 Females.
  •  38 Old competitors, 83 New Competitors.

The Championship was at a good level of organization with great presence of media to cover the event, the Champions were as follow:

  •  First place: Yahia Nasreddine RASSINE from Algeria with total of 5174 points
  •  Second place: Tamim GATANESH from Libya with total of 3600 points
  •  Third place: Ali GATANESH from Libya with total of 3066 points
